Exclaimer Achieves ‘Works For Windows Server 2008 R2 Status For Signature Manager
-Signature Manager is awarded Microsoft ‘Works with Windows Server 2008 R2’ logo as official endorsement of the product’s compatibility with the platform-
26 November 2009: Exclaimer, the mail utilities software developer, today announces that it has been awarded the prestigious Microsoft 'Works with Windows Server 2008 R2' logo for its Signature Manager product. Working with Outlook’s built-in signature feature, Signature Manager delivers consistent, up-to-date approved corporate email signatures onto every company email from a centrally managed location, negating the need for manual set up of often inconsistent, or even nonexistent, Outlook email signatures.
The 'Works with Windows Server 2008 R2' logo designates applications that are independently verified as compatible with the Windows platform according to Microsoft-recommended standards. The standard provides an assurance to customers that the product has been fully tested against strict criteria to ensure that it works correctly with the Microsoft Windows platform, providing optimum performance and functionality.
Commenting on achieving the 'Works with Windows Server 2008 R2' logo, Andrew Millington, Managing Director of Exclaimer, explains, " Being awarded the 'Works with Windows' status for Signature Manager is an important achievement for the product and one which we are proud to have gained. This status confirms that Signature Manager has been built to a high specification to work effectively on the Windows 2008 platform, and reassures our customers of our commitment to producing mail utilities applications that are of the highest quality."
Exclaimer used Microsoft recommended tester Lionbridge, to independently test the Signature Manager product. Throughout the evaluation process, the Signature Manager code was put through a number of pre-defined tests to ensure the code is stable and doesn’t cause any problems to the underlining operating system.
Millington concludes, " The main purpose for achieving this status is to provide our customers with the knowledge that the product has been written specifically to be compatible with Windows and also to provide them with the confidence that Signature Manager is approved by Microsoft to run on the Windows 2008 platform. The 'Works with Windows' status is not easily achieved and as the only vendor in the market to currently have this accreditation, we are extremely proud of what Signature Manager has achieved."
