Mail Utilities System Requirements

The table below shows the basic system requirements for Exclaimer Mail Utilities.

Exclaimer Mail Utilities can run in a number of configurations and environments, including on an Exchange 2000/2003 server or on a Windows 2000/2003 server without Exchange installed.

The performance of the server will depend upon the email load, disclaimer complexity and the complexity of the rules that you have set up. In a normal environment, Exclaimer Mail Utilities can be installed on an Exchange server without affecting throughput.

In a multi-server environment, Exclaimer Mail Utilities can be centrally maintained from a Windows XP or 2000 workstation installation.

Processor

A 800 megahertz (MHz) processor.

Same as required configuration or better.

RAM

256 megabytes (MB).

512 MB or better.

Free hard disk space

30 MB.

Same as required configuration or better.

Monitor

Super VGA (800 x 600) resolution.

Same as required configuration or higher resolution.

Video Card

Video card with 4 MB of RAM (video RAM or VRAM).

Same as required configuration or better.

Software

A Windows 2000 or better Active Directory environment. Windows SMTP Service installed and operational. Internet Explorer 6.0 is also required.

 

MDAC 2.8 is only required when using Windows Server 2000.

Exchange 2000 or 2003 organization.
