A Scenario for every occasion
Installation and configuration don’t get
simpler than this. A Wizard guides you through setup and introduces 4 basic scenarios that cover your every need.
- Deployed – block spam, deliver business email, get on with the business of business.
- Quarantine – put the spam in a quarantine mailbox just in case you’re interested in building a collection of entertaining spam emails.
- Quarantine to users’ Junk folder – put the spam in your users’ junk folders just in case they’re interested in building a collection of entertaining spam emails.
- Evaluation – we know trust must be earned. When you’ve just installed, you can have spam delivered as normal but marked in a header or the subject so you can see us working.
The power of Commtouch®
Commtouch’s Recurrent Pattern Detection technology is tried and trusted around the world by thousands of businesses and millions of people. It works brilliantly to
cut out spam without any impact on the flow of the emails that are critical to your business – the false positive rate is so low, we’ve given up trying to measure it. The other great news is that the most complicated thing about this technology is the name. It works like a light switch – you turn it on, the
spam stops; you turn it off, the spam starts. And the really cool thing is that the light bulb lasts forever.
We know who your friends are
Nobody sends emails to spammers so our
auto-whitelist feature makes a note of everyone you send emails to and we don’t go through the bother of checking their replies.
You know who your friends (and enemies) are
You can easily maintain a
whitelist to ensure you get the emails you want as efficiently as possible and there’s a
blacklist too so you can cut out the guys you really don’t want to hear from every again. And if you have guys or critical accounts that really must get every email, there’s a
sender whitelist. Once you’re in there you get everything that gets sent to you, spam and all.
SmartScreen from the smart guys at Microsoft Research
Exchange comes with an
Intelligent Message Filter that learns what spam looks like. You just need some PowerShell skills to configure it out of the Exchange box. If you’re the kind of guys that have enough to do running your business then don’t worry – we put a
simple and intuitive UI in the Exclaimer Anti-spam box. The Intelligent Message Filter also has a couple of other neat tricks:
- It gets updated as part of your routine Exchange updates.
- Outlook and OWA users can manage their own safe lists that control operation so you don’t have to.
And a whole bunch more…
Microsoft Exchange ships with a few other neat filters that help fight spam but it does seem like they’re hiding their light under a bushel down Redmond way. If you even know that these filters exist, then you need PowerShell skills to configure them and none of them seem to work in a consistent way. It’s like they got designed by a committee that never met. So, we’ve done our best work and given you
one simple and coherent interface for managing things like:
- Attachment and offensive word filtering to control what gets in.
- Sender Reputation and Sender ID filters to establish legitimate senders.
- Block list management that leverages the great work of sites like Spamhaus who monitor and maintain sender reputation lists.
Give it a go – gain without pain
