Mail Utilities
How is Mail Utilities licensed?
Mail Utilities is licensed on a per user basis. A license is required for each user that sends email in your organization. A great value licensing package is available for users of Microsoft Small Business Server. More information is available in the pricing tab of the Mail Utilities product page. If you require any more help then please feel free to contact our sales team.
What features are included with the standard edition of Mail Utilities?
The standard license enables every feature except Anti-spam and Anti-Virus. Anti-spam and Anti-Virus require separate, annually renewable licenses.
Do I need to download Exclaimer Mail Utilities again once my trial has expired?
No. You always trial a full version of an Exclaimer product. Simply apply the license to activate it.
Can I use Mail Utilities with any other Exclaimer products?
Yes, Mail Utilities is compatible with all Exclaimer products.
Does Mail Utilities allow you to create a different template for each of the mail formats (HTML, RTF and Plain Text)?

Can Mail Utilities add the signature/disclaimer to messages that are sent from mobile devices such as the iPhone and BlackBerry?
Yes. Any email sent via an Exchange server where Mail Utilities is installed will be correctly processed.
How do I apply the license sent to me by the sales team?
Launch the Exclaimer control panel and click on the “about” icon the bottom left of the screen. Click on “apply license” and follow the on screen instructions.
Can Mail Utilities and Mail Disclaimers be installed and run together on the same server?
Yes they can. This is a common requirement for customers when moving from one product to the next.

Am I able to see the signature in the Sent Items folder after sending a mail?
No. If you want this feature on an Exchange 2003 server and are using Microsoft Outlook 2003 or above then take a look at our Signature Manager Product. Mail Disclaimers for Exchange 2007 and above also provides this functionality.
How can we take our settings across multiple servers?

Where should I install the application?
The application needs to be installed on the Exchange Server. If you want to use the Anti-spam module, or just use this for outbound disclaimers/signatures, you are able to install the application on the SMTP gateway. To use remote deployment, you can install this on a workstation if required.
Is it possible to force the mail to be sent in a particular format?
No. Mail Utilities cannot modify the message format.
Can Mail Utilities remove users' signatures from Outlook?
Mail Utilities cannot remove or prevent an Outlook signature. To do this please refer to

on using a group policy to prevent end users creating an Outlook signature.

How long does a trial period last?
Your trial needs to be activated online. You have up to 5 days to activate your trial. Once you have activated your trial, the product will run for another 30 days free of charge.
Are the trial products limited?
No. In trial, all Exclaimer products are fully functional.
Can I try more than one product at a time?
Yes. Feel free to download and test as many of our products as you like. If you have any queries during any evaluation then please contact us for assistance.
Can I extend my trial?

Is this a yearly renewable license or a one-off payment?
Most Exclaimer products are licensed for a one off fee and are valid for the purchased version and all minor updates. You will need to renew your license if you upgrade to a newer major version or if you want to extend your usage. An annual renewal is charged for continuation of Support and for the Mail Utilities Anti-Spam and Anti-Virus modules.
We have grown rapidly and gone over our user limit. How do I upgrade?

I am migrating to a new server with an updated version of Exchange. Can I move my license?
If you are moving between products (e.g. from Mail Utilities to Mail Disclaimers), you will need a new license for which there may be a charge. Please contact
sales@exclaimer.com
. If you are moving a purchased product to a new server then simply reapply your existing license after installation.
How do I order an Exclaimer product?
You can order Exclaimer products using a credit card or with a purchase order. Click the 'Buy Now' button on the relevant product page and follow the simple steps.
Is there a delivery charge?
No. Your license and invoice are delivered by email directly after purchasing.
How long is the lead time?
Exclaimer product licenses are delivered straight after a payment has been made or a purchase order has been approved.
What's included with my support package?
Exclaimer offers a full support service. Support is mandatory for the first year and renewable on an annual basis after that.
How long does my support package last?
All support packages last for 12 months. Longer support contracts are available on request. Please ask your sales contact for further details.
